H2O Icon Pack è un’ app per Android che permette di cambiare completamente il look del proprio dispositivo aggiungendo un tocco colorato, dinamico e soprattutto uniforme alle icone delle applicazioni presenti sulla home screen del proprio cellulare Android.
Il pacchetto è composto da più di 4430 icone fatte a mano, e il design si ispira allo stile minimale di Oxygen OS e di Hydrogen OS, due versioni del sistema operativo creato e utilizzato da OnePlus che apprezzo particolarmente.
Ho voluto creare queste icone per diversi motivi. Il primo è dovuto al fatto che Android, a differenza di iOS, non ha requisiti particolari sullo stile che le icone di applicazioni sviluppate da terzi debbano avere. Questo porta ad una importante inconsistenza del look&feel proprio delle schermate di Android, spesso caratterizzate da icone di diverse dimensioni, forme e stili.
Ho quindi pensato di creare questa applicazione proprio per voler definire uno standard, applicando uno stile unico e coerente a questa molteplicità di stili tipica del sistema operativo Android.
Il secondo motivo che mi ha spinto a creare più di 4430 icone è perché credo nella condivisione, e volevo mettere a disposizione della Community Android icone di qualità, in modo che fossero accessibili ed utilizzabili da tutti in forma gratuita.
